2. Information We DO NOT Collect (Default Mode)

When using SuperFolders One in its default configuration, we DO NOT collect, process, or have access to:

• Your Documents: All files you index remain on your Mac
• Search Queries: Your searches are processed locally and never transmitted
• Document Content: File contents are analyzed on your device only
• AI Analysis Results: All AI-generated summaries and answers stay on your Mac
• File Names or Metadata: We don't see what files you're indexing
• Usage Patterns: We don't track what you search for or how you use the app

3. Local Data Storage

SuperFolders One stores the following data locally on your Mac only:

• Document Indexes: Vector embeddings and text chunks created from your documents
• Application Settings: Your preferences, selected folders, and configuration
• Cache Files: Temporary data to improve performance
• AI Models: Language models downloaded for local processing

Important: All this data remains on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.

4. Optional Cloud Features

SuperFolders One offers optional cloud-based features that you can enable:

4.1 Cloud AI Processing (Optional)

If you enable cloud AI processing:

• What is sent: Only small text fragments (chunks) from your search results, not entire documents
• Why: To use more powerful cloud-based AI models if your Mac has limited resources
• Data retention: Text fragments are processed in real-time and not stored permanently
• Control: You can disable this feature at any time in Settings

4.2 Sync Features (Future Feature)

If we introduce sync capabilities in the future:

• Sync will be opt-in only
• You'll control what data is synced
• Data will be encrypted in transit and at rest
• We'll update this policy before launching sync features

5. Information We Collect from the App

5.1 Anonymous Usage Analytics (Optional)

With your permission, we may collect anonymous usage data:

• App version and macOS version
• Crash reports and error logs (no document content)
• Feature usage statistics (e.g., "search feature used 10 times")

If you purchase a Pro subscription, we collect:

If you have a Pro account and want to delete it:

10. Children's Privacy

SuperFolders One is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn we have collected data from a child, we will delete it immediately.

SuperFolders One can be used worldwide. By using the Software:

• Most data processing happens locally on your Mac (in your location)
• If you enable cloud features, data may be processed in servers located in the US or EU
